What Should We Do If We Get Nervous When Taking the ECG Test?

Get nervous when having the ECG test during the physical examination. I believe many people have encountered this kind of thing. I have had the same situation before, and I have also been distressed because our hearts get tachycardia when we get nervous. Tachycardia is also a marginal electrocardiogram or abnormal electrocardiogram. And no doctor can guarantee our hearts are in a healthy condition.

If we find that our electrocardiogram is abnormal every time, we would also feel uneasy in our hearts and worry about whether we have any hidden diseases.
So, how can we avoid this from happening?  We can adjust it from the following aspects:

1. Be familiar with the hospital environment
People tend to be nervous and uneasy in unfamiliar environments but not in familiar surroundings. The best way to change this situation is to go to the hospital a few times, go to the hospital as early as possible, walk around and get familiar with the environment around the hospital, which would lead to the disappearance of tension and anxiety gradually.

2. proper exercise
We can have more exercise in daily life. And we can also exercise appropriately before the physical examination because our tension on a large scale is because of the fear of finding out the disease and unhealthy body. Generally, people who exercise regularly are relatively more optimistic in terms of physical fitness and mentality.

3. Relax and breathe deeply
When we are nervous, the most effective way is to take a deep breath. I believe we all did it when we were young, and the doctors also told us about it. When we are in high tense, we only need to hold our breath for five or six seconds, then slowly relax our body, and take several deep breaths in a row to make our body tense and then relax it to achieve the purpose of decompression.

4. Divert attention
Diverting attention is an effective way to resolve tension and anxiety. When I was young, when I went to the hospital for an injection, I was nervous and felt very painful, especially when I saw the doctor come out with a syringe.
At that time, my parents would talk about interesting things, such as buying my favorite snacks and where to take me to play. At this time, the doctor would give me a shot.

People are nervous because they care about things at the time. When we divert our attention and think of other things, we will not be so anxious. We can think more about things that make us happy and keep ourselves in a good state of mind.

5. Measure yourself at home
Home is not one of the places you are most familiar with, and you have the best relatives and friends around you. If you can take an electrocardiogram anytime and anywhere at home, there will be no pressure.

We can choose the portable ECG monitor to have the ECG measurement at home and then send the record to our doctors.
